Toyota SAIS Air Injection System

Toyota and Lexus's SAIS air injection system has been problematic for Toyota and Lexus vehicles. Unfortunately, it has been said to be a matter of when… not if this fault will occur. 
This system is there to reduce emissions on cold startup, but when it fails, it is expensive to repair. Left unresolved, this issue can put your vehicle into a limp mode. 
This usually shows as Code 112. Pro-Active Automotive can usually repair this for about ½ the dealer cost and eliminates the potential for reoccurrence.
We can by-pass this system and codes P1441, P1442, P1444, P1445, P2440, P441, P2443, P2444, P2445, P2446, P2447, P0418, P0419, P0412, P0415, P1440, P1443.

Big End Bearings

If you haven’t heard of it - please research it. Over the years we have done a lot of these bearing replacements. More times than not, they were required. The problem is the big end bearing in the connecting rod deteriorates, eventually increasing the clearance between the crankshaft journal and the connecting rod, which then reduces oil pressure and low engine speeds and can ultimately result in potential major engine damage. The big question…if you aren’t the original owner and there is no history of this ever being done, it is nearly impossible to tell without physically looking at them. And at this point, you may as well get new ones. Once the old ones are replaced, it should not need to be done again.

Code P0016
This is a generic code triggered by the ECU when it detects a problem related to the camshaft and crankshaft correlation. The engine may or may not perform any differently, and the indicator light might even go out on its own, only to return. This needs to be appropriately diagnosed to confirm but is commonly (but not limited to) timing chain elongation.

Solid axel front swivel housing service or rebuild/reseal
Did you know the front solid axle of your Toyota has a swivel housing that is lubricated with grease? This grease cavity must be regularly replenished to keep the CV joint and swivel bearings appropriately lubricated. An average of approximately 24,000 km is a suitable interval. Over time, the seals deteriorate and leak. The inside of the swivel housing can become locked because of the grease and oil. By this time the swivel bearings are probably worn as well. This is the time to rebuild and repack the swivel housing.

Rear Suspension Airbag System Failure
If your Lexus or Toyota is sagging in the rear or has a harsh ride, there may be a fault in the airbag system. We can effectively test and repair the system or offer an alternative to eliminate the airbag system altogether. Toyota 8” Clamshell bushing.
This upgrade replaces the driver side differential CV shaft support needle bearing that causes a vibration / grinding noise or harmonics usually around the 40-60km/hr range. Often exaggerated by changing drive line angles due to having the vehicle lifted.
Installing this sintered PTFE, metal backed, bronze inlaid bushing better controls the axle float that produces these noises.
